The Nutcracker

This year NPTC Group will celebrate the Christmas season with an exciting rendition of The Nutcracker, offering a choreographic twist on the original classic, brought to life by the talented and dedicated young dancers of the college’s flourishing dance department.

Craig Coombs, course leader for dance states that;

Never before has the dance department embarked upon a production of this nature.  The dancers have been working very hard in rehearsals to ensure the success of the show and their energy, enthusiasm and enjoyment speaks volumes.  I am looking forward to seeing our ideas come to life on the stage.

Clara, played by the vibrant Daniella Powell, will capture the heart of the audience, taking them on a journey from the school yard to the Land of Sweets.  The adventure will touch the hearts of many and promises to be a festive treat for the whole family.

Daniella Powell, aged 17 commented;

I am so excited to be part of this show and can’t wait for the opening performance.  It is going to surprise people as we have made some interesting decisions based on the original choreographic ideas.

So, if you want to feel in the festive mood this December, make sure you get your tickets for the most nut-cracking show in Neath.

Tickets available from the Nidum Arts Centre box office on 01639 648300.
