Gareth Mitchell Leads Performing Arts Students in Professional Workshops
The performing arts department has welcomed back the dance, acting, musical theatre and performing arts students with a series of professional master classes led by Arts Ed graduate and professional performer Gareth Mitchell, who spent the first week back after the holidays sharing his skills to the NPTC Group students on the Neath Campus. Gareth Mitchell stated that;
“It is wonderful to return to Neath to such promising talent. The students were all totally engaged with learning new ideas and I am excited to see what their futures hold.”
The workshops included; singing for musical theatre, acting for auditions and a jazz dance class. Second year dance student Lloyd Fernquest commented that;
“This week has been extremely insightful and it’s really got me motivated for the year ahead. I plan to audition for higher education this year and with my auditions coming up I now feel more ready than ever before.”
Following the previous success of the college’s performing arts students this year’s cohort are destined to follow in the footsteps of their predecessors who have won places at leading performing arts conservatoires including; Arts Ed, Trinity Laban, London Studio Centre and the Northern School of Contemporary Dance.
