BT Big Voice Competition
Creative students from Neath Port Talbot College have won a competition sponsored by BT to make films highlighting issues of concern where they live.
Three separate teams from the College have each won £1,000 and professional film production support.
They also qualify for up to £5,000 and help from Live Unlimited — a charity which supports social entrepreneurs turn their ideas into a community project.
The student's three winning submissions tackled the issues of safe sex, homophobia and drink driving.
A Level media studies lecturer Christine Lloyd said: "This is a great achievement”.
"All the student entries were highly commended, the standard of work made it very difficult for the judges to choose winners, but ours are the three Welsh winners”.
"They will represent Wales in the regional BT Big Voice Film Festival on May 5th and 12th 2012”.
"I would like to wish all the contestants the best of luck with the next phase of the competition."
