NPTC Students collaborate with local film company Tornado Films
Neath Port Talbot students studying BTEC Extended Diploma in Media Production and the BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts have been working with Producer / Director Antony Smith from Tornado Films, Tornado Films is a local film production company based in Sandfields Business Centre in Port Talbot. The ambition within the company is to produce commercially viable feature films for the global market using the very latest in digital cinema technology.
The students have worked with Antony on a short film project which was shot on location and in the TV studio at Neath Port Talbot College. Media students became the production crew and shot the production, Performing Arts students studying Acting for TV were the actors for the film and both groups co-wrote the screen play and co-directed the film.
All students participating in the intensive week long project found it an exhausting but highly enjoyable project to work on and gained a real insight into the film production industry from pre to post production.
