100% Success for A Level and BTEC Dance Students

Dance at NPTC Group of Colleges has an excellent reputation and as the course continues to grow from strength to strength the students celebrate their own achievements with excellent results across A Level and BTEC Dance. The department, lead by lecturer Craig Coombs has established dance opportunities for young dancers across the college and the 100% success is a reflection of the talent, hard work and dedication of the everyone involved. The results follow the department's Summer Dance Festival where the students found online fame with a record breaking number of views of their FlashMob style dance, performed for local secondary schools. Dance students from the department for the past decade have gone onto achieve higher education places at some of the country's leading universities and conservatories, thus a reflection of both the students and the dedicated dance lecturers at the college who themselves trained at leading dance centres, including Trinity Laban, London Studio Centre and The Place. Daniella Powell, who achieved a double Distinction* Distinction result on her Level 3 BTEC Dance course commented that; ‘’Support at the College has been excellent. Lecturer Craig Coombs has been fantastic, he has created so many extra opportunities for us and fully prepared us for University life – he was been such a great support, amazing!’’ This September sees students progressing onto university places at Manchester's Shock Out, University of South Wales, Middlesex University and London Studio Centre.
