A Level Media Studies Student Awarded Place on DAWN: Documentary Academy Wales Network

Lewis Bradley, an A2 Media Student has just finished, a residential film making course which was run over three weekends from November 2014 - January 2015. He applied when his Media Lecturer Christine Lloyd encouraged students to participate. He was one of 18 students throughout South Wales to secure a place.

DAWN is part of the BFI Film Academy scheme, which provides opportunities for talented and committed young people between 16-19, to develop new skills and build careers in the film industry.

Lewis commented that;

        "During the course I developed new film skills including pitching, production, marketing and editing.  I made new friends and industry contacts whilst attending film screenings and master classes."

This is a great opportunity for media students to receive advice from established Creative Skillset trained advisors and mentoring from successful graduates from creative industry degree courses, who are running production companies

Screening of documentary films are held at the Zoom Film Festival on 27th March 2015
