CVP Students Awarded for Excellence

Last November a select group of students from Creative, Visual and Performing Arts won the Sports and Cultural Award and attended a prestigious event whereby they were presented with a 500 scholarship to help fund their future education plans.

The event was hosted by Keith Booker and special guest Pauline Crossley from National Youth Arts Wales.

Dylan Smith was one of the students awarded a scholarship and he said;

I feel so happy and honoured to have been offered this scholarship.  I am currently auditioning for Higher Education and hope to train professionally as a Musical Theatre performer, so this money will contribute to the cost of auditions this year.

The students were introduced by Craig Coombs (Subject Leader for Dance) who spoke on behalf of other lecturers, including Sarah Holmes (Subject Leader for Textiles) and Carolyn Davies (Subject Leader for Music).
