JAZZ ENSEMBLE

Following the success of their pre-Christmas performance at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff, the NPTC Jazz Ensemble is currently working on new material in readiness for their next performances in May at Swansea Jazz Club, the Bay View in Swansea, and a return visit to the Wales Millennium Centre. The ensemble is growing in number, and we now have three vocalists (Rachel Williams, Ruth Hughes and Matthew Rees) who each feature on several songs from the standard jazz repertoire, together with jazz interpretations of contemporary songs such as 'Valerie'. We also have a growing wind section of saxophones and flutes, to complement the rhythm section, who collectively have been with us for a few years.
